Orange Street Boutique Hotel - single King bed

Great value for the price. Clean and simple and very comfy bed! Positive: The room was very spacious, though very minimal in decor. (I do think each room is different though) But it was clean and the king bed was super comfy!! The bathroom was big too. Appreciated the microwave and fridge. Very quiet--never heard the other guests. Just know it's not like staying at a typical hotel. :) Negative: Check in was a little confusing. You only get in through codes--no check in desk person etc. We actually needed an iron (we were in town for an event) and we had to go buy one since there was no iron at the hotel. (First hotel I've been in without one!) Pretty minor detail, but it mattered to us. Could've used more coffee since we stayed 2 nights. (again, minor, but worth mentioning) Parking was only street parking, no lot.

Stinky Positive: The bed was comfortable and it was close to the downtown area. Negative: The room smelled like weed and smoke, toilet paper holder was broke, toilet seat was broke, the shower head was to close to the wall to get under to get a shower along with little pressure, only one small trash can, no street lights outside the building. I messaged the property manager and never got a response.

Negative: My experience at the hotel was disappointing due to serious security concerns. This morning, a man attempted to enter one of the rooms, and the guest had to call the police. When the police arrived, they stated they were unable to take any action because there are no security cameras on the property. Although the electronic lock system should provide safety, it appears that someone may have unauthorized access, which is very concerning. The situation is made worse by the fact that there is no front desk or staff on-site—only access through passwords—making the environment feel unsafe. On a positive note, the room itself is very good and exceeded my expectations in terms of comfort and quality. However, due to the lack of security, my overall experience was negatively impacted. For this reason, I would not stay here again.

The room and the location were fantastic. I recommend. Positive: The room was large. The location was perfect for me. Short walk to bath row but far enough away to be quiet. Negative: Dedicated parking spaces were a little confusing. I parked on street and it was fine. I did not notice the property was a VRBO until I arrived. Booking.com should have made that clearer when booking.
